Skin and Cancer Institute offers the newest technologies combined with our expertise and skill in providing our patients with quality cosmetic treatments. Our practice now offers patients an advanced radiofrequency technology called Morpheus8 which reaches the dermis and sub-dermis layers of the skin for ultimate rejuvenation and remodeling of the face and body. In those innermost and deep layers of one’s skin, collagen is activated and triggered. The Morpheus8 technology triggers collagen production at the treatment areas.
This safe and minimally invasive procedure uses radiofrequency for full body and face subdermal remodeling. With different handpieces available, the treatment area can target both smaller or larger areas. In fact, the Morpheus8 can penetrate the subdermal tissue up to 8 mm which includes a thermal profile of 1 mm.
Although the Morpheus8 is quite effective for penetrating the deepest layers of skin and tissue, a patient can select which treatment areas to target. There are four possibilities for microneedle configurations with the tips used on the Morpheus8. The radiofrequency of these tips are clinically shown to reach various treatment depths ranging anywhere from .5 mm to 7 mm. The four modular fractional tips include:
The benefits in this fractional treatment include but are not limited to collagen production and stimulation, effective remodeling of the skin on the face and body as well as rejuvenated skin with this advanced technology. In fact, this treatment has been shown to cause no thermal damage to darker skin tones and has minimal risk of hyperpigmentation. This treatment has also been shown to be minimally invasive and safe for all skin types with less resulting skin injury and lower treatment times. It Is safe to say the Morpheus8 is a “win win” for patients interested in a safe, effective and efficient cosmetic treatment.
