Skin and Cancer Institute offers a whole menu of cosmetic procedures including treatments for the body like skin tightening, improvements to certain features of the face like injections, laser treatments for pigmentation, redness and dark spots, and more. Our practice is also highly popular for male clients who are interested in a change or cosmetic enhancement.
Medical Treatments for Skin Concerns, Growths and Skin Conditions
Eczema, rosacea, melasma and other skin concerns can be treated by laser and other recommended treatments. Skin tags, cysts, warts and other unwanted skin growths can be removed as well by cold nitrogen or surgical excision. Our practice offers techniques and effective methods to help remove unwanted white lumps on the face and body that are non-cancerous which are called molluscum contagiosum.
Skin Cancer Removal by Surgery, Cryosurgery, Curettage and Electrosurgery, Mohs Surgery, Skin Grafting and More
Our practice also offers a wide range of skin cancer screenings, treatments and surgical operations for the removal of various types of cancerous skin tumors. We treat basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and the more fatal form which is melanoma. If the tumor is small in size, surgical removal should be relatively straightforward. Larger tumors or skin cancer tissue may present complications and influence the type of removal treatment selected by your dermatologic surgeon.
Routine screenings and examinations by a board-certified dermatologist should be performed annually at a minimum. If you are an individual with excessive sun exposure or are prone to moles or other skin growths, you should probably visit the dermatologist more frequently to check for pre-cancerous skin lesions as well. Skin lesions that are pre-cancerous have not evolved into skin cancer just yet and can be removed easier than once a tumor has fully developed.
